Acupuncture: Acupuncture is the practice of inserting fine, single use needles into the superficial surfaces of the body in order to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain and help the body recover to normal. A patient can expect needles gently inserted around the body and retained for 20-30 minutes each visit.
Herbal Medicine: Chinese herbal medicine utilizes the power of nature to guide the body to naturally heal itself. Chinese herbs are all natural and can safely be taken in conjunction with western pharmaceuticals when properly prescribed. A patient may be prescribed raw herbs, herbal powders or teapills on a visit depending on the case and accompanying symptoms. Herbal consultations are included with each acupuncture treatment if applicable. The actual herbal prescriptions are an additional cost for both acupuncture treatments and health consultations.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture: Facial Rejuvenation is an acupuncture technique that focuses primarily on the facial skin’s vitality. Through delicate needle insertion, gentle cupping, and other dermal stimulation techniques, the skin is able to eliminate dead cells and toxins, increase collagen production and improve circulation. Each treatment will result in noticeably vibrant looking skin and a more youthful appearance.
Microneedling: Treatment includes microneedling on the face and neck paired with a Chinese herbal facial serum, LED light and full-body acupuncture. Microneedling is a natural, holistic technique that originated in China. The insertion of fine needles into the skin helps with wrinkles, acne, hyperpigmentation, scarring, and other skin related conditions. The process creates tiny microchannels in the skin that are beneficial for cellular repair. Microneedling moves blood, qi, and interstitial fluid to the area of treatment. Much like acupuncture, this causes the body to send its own resources to repair it. In the face, this repair can be seen almost immediately post-treatment through the brightening of Shen or inner spirit. In Western biomedical terms, the body is beginning its inflammatory response to put down new stem cells, collagen, and elastin.
Cupping: Cupping utilizes glass cups to suction the skin at targeted places and helps cleanse the body of old blood while increasing circulation. Cupping is commonly used for musculoskeletal pain and is often compared to a deep tissue massage.
Health Consultation: Virtual health consultations will examine your health history and current health complaints. Dr. Yang will work with you to make a customized health plan in order to address your health concerns. Plans may include but are not limited to diet & exercise advice, breath work, Chinese herbal prescriptions, supplement & lifestyle recommendations.
